Aids Awareness Campaign



This campaign was the first in American Advertising to use the word "condom" 

The message is strong and gets right to the heart of the matter. It acknowledges the problem/s: (not wanting to use a condom and acquiring AIDS) and suggests a benefit to using a condom: (life).

A Chowhound's Caribbean Cruise

Jonathan Miles' article at http://www.foodandwine.com/articles/a-chowhounds-caribbean-cruise caught my attention because of the hook.

"My wife and I: we don't travel so well together..."

Those words made me anticipate a humorous travel experience between the two. Instead, it is more about compromise as they journey aboard the Celebrity Equinox to various Caribbean islands, weaving through his wife's agenda of sampling different wine parings in ritzy restaurants and his agenda of trailing  off-the-beaten path through Marigo Bay where they enjoy Ti Punch and smoked pig parts.

The article is descriptive, the words flow easily and the style is very engaging.

Food Blogga's Got My Vote

After reading several food blogs, I zeroed in on Susan Rosso's blog. Her latest post, "Awesome Super Bowl Party Recipes" at http://foodblogga.blogspot.com/  is engaging, well-photographed, and has me craving nachos and beans with an ice cold corona.
